PFC Ludogorets Razgrad 1945 - Team with great adventures!!!

PFC Ludogorets Razgrad - Bulgarian team, which wrote a history for their country and for European football.

It's a little team, with big ambitions.

Officially team was founded in 1945, but their real and amazing football story began from 2010, when Bulgarian businessman Kiril Domuschiev bought this team and began to invest.

They were playing in B Group and in the first season they were promoted to A group.

They won 7 major cups in the country. (A Group - 3, Bulgarian Cup- 2, Bulgarian Supercup-2).

Their 1st season was not so amazing in Euro Cups, they lost 2Q (CL) to Dinamo Zagreb.

Next season they started very well and qualified for CL Play-Offs, were they lost again, but now against FC Basel.

So they continue their European road in Europa League, where they wrote a history and won 5 games from 6 and played draw once in the group stage.

In Round of 32 they got SS Lazio and nobody thought that they could qualify for the next round, but they made it and won a first game in Rome. 2nd game was a thriller like in blockbuster films as they were losing 0:2, but caught that game and made it 3:3, which of course meant that they qualified for Round of 16, were they lost to Valencia, but still they were heroes for their country and won our hearts!

2014-15 CL season, was amazing not only for Ludogorets or for Bulgaria, It was a story of a guy named Cosmin Moti, who wrote a biggest and unbelievable story.

Team began their European campaign against F91 Dudelange from Luxembourg, they beat them without problems and in the next round their opponent was FK Partizan from Belgrade. It was a though game, as they played first game 0:0 Home, and then in Serbia they were winning 0:2. It was done deal, but Partizan scored twice and made 2:2, but still thanks to away goal Ludogorets passed through.

In the PO, they got their country rivals Steaua Bucuresti. First game they lost in Romania 1:0.
2nd game was going with screenplay 0:0. It was already 90th minutes, when Marcelinho scored and put the game in OT.
Bulgarian GK Vladislav Stoyanov made a foul and was sent off from the pitch, as Ludogorets made 3 substitutions, their only hope was defender Cosmin Moti, as he replaced Stoyanov.

In the penalty shoot-out centre-back Cosmin Moti scored the first penalty, went in goal and made two saves to put team through 6-5 on penalties. It was an amazing evening for Bulgarian football, but especially for that Romanian guy.

In the group stage they got Real Madrid, FC Liverpool and FC Basel. Yeah very though group.

They made their debut in Liverpool, where they lost 2:1, but they played very well and even equalized score 1:1, but lost that game in the last seconds of game, after Gerrard scored from penalty.

Their home debut game was against Real Madrid. They even scored first, but lost that game 1:2. Referee put two penalties, in this game Cristiano Ronaldo took two penalties, one was saved by Stoyanov and 2nd was scored.

22th October 2014 - Beautiful day for Bulgarian football, as thanks to Yordan Minev they won game against FC Basel and It was the first time winning match for Bulgarian football in champions league history.

The next game home game was against FC Liverpool, where thanks to Georgi Terziev's last minute header, they tied the game 2:2.

Ludogorets won only one game and played one draw in 6 games, but what they did on the pitch is more important than these results, they showed us that you must fight for every game, no matter who is your opponent team. They did a great job and wrote a great story for Bulgaria and for their lives, as they are heroes now!

PFC Ludogorets - More than a team!
